3.22.10 15 New Channels Coming April 5th
Orbitel Communications announces the addition of 15 new channels including 12 new channels in high definition, bringing the total number of cable TV channels to 288.
“Orbitel continues to invest significantly in the delivery of HD programming to our customers,” said Keith Kirkman, President and CEO of Orbitel. “Orbitel’s HD offering will now total 67 channels at a very affordable price with no long term contracts.”
Starting on April 5th, Orbitel HD customers will also receive: KAZT-HD, WGN-HD, TBS-HD, Spike-HD, MTV-HD, Nickelodeon-HD, Cartoon-HD, MSNBC-HD, truTV-HD, VH1-HD, Turner Classic Movies-HD and ESPNU-HD.
Orbitel digital cable customers will enjoy the addition of three new channels on the digital basic level of service –This TV, RTV and PPV Preview Channel.
THIS TV Network is a 24/7 digital network that features movies from the film libraries of MGM, United Artists, Orion Pictures, Polygram, Cannon and Samuel Goldwyn Films as well as classic television shows such as Mister Ed, The Patty Duke Show, The Outer Limits and many more.
The Retro Television Network (RTV) airs classic television programming from the 1950s through the 1980s, such as Leave it to Beaver, Kojak, McHale’s Navy, Adam-12, Emergency!, and The Rockford Files, as well as the horror film showcase Midnight Monster Hop.
The PPV Preview Channel will make it even easier for Orbitel customers to find the latest blockbuster movies and live sporting events available to purchase from Orbitel.
Orbitel’s HD offering has become so large it will be doubling the channel allocation for HD services. “This change, while simplifying the viewing experience for our customers means Orbitel will be moving or adding 60 services on April 5th,” Kirkman added. Customers will be receiving new channel lineups with their April statements and will be able to download printable versions from the company’s website, www.OrbitelCom.com in early April.
