7.21.10 Emergency Repairs Completed
Orbitel conducted emergency repairs overnight to repair a fiber optic transport cable that was damaged by a contractor operating a backhoe in Maricopa on Monday, July 20th. The emergency repair of the damaged fiber optic cable servicing the communities of Sorrento, Rancho Mirage and Desert Passage was successfully completed by Orbitel personnel and contractors early this morning. All Orbitel services were taken down promptly at midnight and all work affecting active customers was completed by 3:45am.
We want to thank our technical support team and our contractors for their hard work to promptly repair this damage while working diligently to minimize the inconvenience to our customers.
