Orbitel Digital Phone vs. VOIP
VOIP stands for Voice Over the Internet Protocol. It is a technology where non locally based companies provide telephone service through your high speed internet access (either DSL or cable internet service). These companies have not built the local networks to provide the trafficking of calls to and from your home. They rely upon the open network of the internet to transmit their services. They cannot provide local support or influence the quality of the networks they don’t own.
